Can atheists actually be anti-semitic?
Why isn't the word onomatopoetic actually onomatopoetic at all?
A rather odd quote from a statement by Berlin's police, as reported by Spiegel Online:
"Berlin - Die Berliner Polizei teilte am Abend mit, dass die Jugendlichen im Alter von 16, 17 und 19 Jahren den US-Bürger "aufgrund seiner Hautfarbe" angegriffen hätten. Dennoch gebe es keine Hinweise auf eine fremdenfeindliche Tat, hieß es in der Polizeimeldung."
Rough translation: "The Berlin police reported in the evening that the group of young people attacked the US citizen 'because of his skin color'. Nevertheless, there are no reasons to consider it a racist act, says the police report."
Am I the only one who finds that weird? More than weird?

Why is it common in some countries to place light switches outside of the room they are for? I can't see any good reason to do this, particularly since the light switches can then often be found on the side where the pivot is, which is never quite practical.
Why on Earth is it obviously so hard to produce cups that fit their underplates? Or to produce underplates that fit their cups?
Why aren't there any shower gel bottles available that contain no more than 100ml?
Because after every flight in Europe, I need to buy a new shower gel - because any liquids in bottles of more than 100ml is confiscated at the airport, and since I'm usually staying in apartments and not in hotels, I need to actually have my own shower gel with me. So I'm forced to buy a new bottle at every destination, and so far I couldn't find any small ones. Very weird actually.

Are you actually trading lighters? Are you selling them on the market? Are you just stealing them to prepare a major terrorist attack? Do you want try to get some of the Caspian gas back that you export to the West? What? Huh?
Dozens, hundreds of lighters confiscated every day at the security gate of the airport, because they are dangerous items that don't belong into a nice person's luggage. I alone lost more than 10 lighters there. Because lighters are dangerous. Which they aren't, for some reason, in most of Europe, where pretty much everything is actually dangerous, but not lighters.
Oh Baku! What are you doing with all the lighters? Where do they go?

Why don't the players look like they're having fun when we watch them playing football on Eurosport?
